Bowling as sometimes called tenpins is an indoor game played on a polished wooden or synthetic floor by teams or individuals. Bowling is very popular in the US and to other countries, as well.
In bowling games, the players or sometimes-called bowlers, roll ball toward ten pins. The pins are usually made from wood or plastic, arranged in triangular formation, with the headpin 60 feet from a foul line. The bowling ball is made from various materials like but not limited to; rubber, plastic, urethanes.

Bowling games consist of ten runs each game, called frames. The bowlers would try to knock down all ten pins. The scores are kept on a sheet or video screen which list the bowler’s names, the frames, the number of pins knocked down with each ball, and the final scores.

During the first nine frames, the bowler rolls one or two balls. If the bowler knocked down all the ten pins with the first throw of ball, the bowler rolled a strike, the best roll possible. An X is recorded on the scoresheet or screen, and then the bowler will receive ten points from the ten pins being knocked down plus a bonus of the number of pins the bowler is going to knock down in the next two bowls. So, the maximum possible score in a strike frame is 30. But, if there are still pins standing after the first throw of a frame, the bowler takes another shot. By knocking down all the remaining pins, the result is a spare. A slash (/) is recorded on the scoresheet or screen, and the player will receive ten points plus a bonus of the number of pins knocked down with the next throw. The maximum score in a spare frame is 20. The computation is, the spare’s ten points followed by another ten if the next frame is a strike.

If the bowler failed to knock down all the ten pins in both throws, the points with which the bowler will get is only the total number of pins knocked down. If a bowler failed to knock down even one pin, a dash (-) will be recorded on the scoresheet.

Players who rolls spares but strikes during the tenth and last frame will receive bonus. Bowlers who roll a spare will get an extra ball, and the number of pins knocked is added to the score. Bowlers who roll a strike will get two more balls to try and to be added to their earlier scores. The other terminologies in bowling games are turkey, which means three strikes in a row, and a split, which means a wide gap between the remaining pins after a throw.

A player can get a top score of 300 or called a perfect game, by registering a strike in each frame and on the last two extra balls. Perfect bowling games rarely happen. Most of the professional bowlers only average more than 230, and amateurs have a hard time making even 100.

If I was to tell you that there was a sequence of mental events that link together to get you to the match court in the best condition possible would you want to know them?
Of course you would – so here they are!

These factors which you begin to put together in your head way before matches, can easily be the difference between winning and losing without you hitting a ball!

The 4 stages or phases if you like are as follows -

1. Preparation 2. Confidence 3. Game planning & What If 4. Focus

PREPARATION

The first stage is linking the technical and physical work you have done both on and off the court to your mental state.

You need to take stock of the work you have been putting in and think about all the positive aspects of your training and believe that they will make a difference to your performance.

The danger is that like many people you may spend your time thinking that you could have done more or “if only I had done this or that extra”, but you need to realise that the chances are that your opponent is probably in the same boat and is asking themselves the same questions of themselves without realising that this is only raising their self-doubt.

I suggest that you keep a “good experiences” notebook that you can keep in your racket bag. Every time you play a match, take a lesson, have a practise session or do some training (physical or mental), you will have some good things to put into the notebook – so do it TODAY!

Thinking about all the positive aspects of your training will lead to higher levels of the next component which is – Confidence!

CONFIDENCE

If you have enough positive experiences in your “mental locker” (as explained in the previous section) will lead to one thing SELF-CONFIDENCE.

Let’s be honest, there is nothing better than having high (but realistic) levels of confidence (not so high that you become sloppy and don’t try) as it is this confidence that will allow you to play the shots that you have been practising etc. without the fear of failure that ultimately is the biggest inhibitor to match success.

Using your notebook on a regular basis not only helps reinforcement at the time, but serves as a great confidence boost as you revisit those thoughts/pictures and feelings and bring them back to the front of your mind.

GAME PLANNING & WHAT IF

Once you have completed the first 2 stages you are then ready to confidently work through what you WANT to happen in your matches – the Game Plan.

This game planning takes place on 2 levels -

1. You don’t know your opponent but will mentally prepare to play the game YOU want to play according to your strengths, weaknesses and game style. 2. You do know your opponent and make modifications to how you play depending on their strengths, weaknesses and game style.

The other (often overlooked) but vitally important part of any pre-match preparation is what I call the “What If.”

It’s ok to know what you want to do if things run according to plan and you are able to execute. But what if something changes?

You need to contemplate and have alternative “plays” if something happens that is not in your original plan – a plan B (and maybe C) if you like!

Obviously the more experienced you are, the more likely you are to have encountered different situations that may arise but at whatever level you are you can think about and have a possible answer to several situations that may arise. It may not win you the match every time but you have more of a chance if you have some sort of plan in place than if you have none!

FOCUS

All of the above factors join together to give you that vital Focus that you will need on the court.

The ability to control your focus (concentration on the correct aspects of the game and your performance) is vital as lapses in this area always lead to physical and mental errors and ultimately a below par match.

SUMMARY

The above factors are all vital components in getting you to perform at your best when you come to play a match.

Start practising them now and in no time at all you will see some big differences in your matchplay and results.

The New Avenue for Hockey Tickets to Know it You Must Read On
by: Timothy Symonds Folks, here is the biggest game of ice hockey that will make your day and you are still thinking if the hockey tickets will be obtainable. Or else, it may have happened many times that you wanted to grab hockey tickets for the matches of your favourite teams and couldn’t quite manage to do that, be it for the National Hockey League, the country’s biggest game or for the club level games. All curses to long lines, crazy fans, bulky orders, poor management, etc.

And here is the good news! Well, getting Hockey tickets is no more a dilemma now. You don’t need to stand in long snake lines to get them and neither do you need to wait out in the blistering heat. This is the good news coming in for everybody who desires hockey tickets especially when their favourite teams are out on the sports ground. Wow! Hockey tickets are after all gettable!

Well Ice hockey is the hot favourite sport in Canada and the nearby regions. Ice hockey tournaments are not just a sporting time but a time when every player and fan strives hard to make their team win. There is an immense unity amongst people and the visitors are always on the edge of their seats supporting their team and promoting the game. But for all this to happen, you need some hockey tickets right? Well, where are you getting them from?

Let’s break out the good news. Hockey tickets are being offered by several official and registered legal websites for fans. You don’t need to go to the search engines if you have heard this; you still need to know how to get these hockey tickets. For those wondering if this is legal, yes it is! But the most consolidating factor here can be the commitment of the website to the customers. These websites have a good consumer support and service cell.

This is done in a simple manner. The customer needs to look into these websites for advance notifications of the arriving tickets. You can keep an eye on the various offers from time to time. Apart from hockey tickets you may find tickets for various other games. You can book them in advance based on your interests and make an advance payment to the website on the basis of their rules, regulations and methodology. It is necessary to find the authenticity of the website. After this is done the website will offer you the tickets based on your order. You may order a number of tickets in case a group is going together. If the website offers a limit to the number of tickets an individual can purchase the person accompanying you may be required to place a separate order for the tickets.

In case you are a resident of another country you can still order the tickets. The stamp charge and the shipping charge will be added to the whole package but your hockey tickets will reach you safely. That’s what really matters, isn’t it. Wish you a happy game ahead. Good luck for your team!

Truck tire bargains on the internet used to be limited to mainly auction websites. When one considers the number of rip-off merchants in one particular online auction site, it is not so surprising to find that tire buyers tend to stay away.

Choosing a truck tire seems relatively easy, however, it can be a bummer if you come up with the wrong type for your vehicle. Fitted and correct tires for two to three ton vehicles, including possible cargo, play an important part in safe and smooth travel. Therefore, you must be certain of the kind of tire you need to buy.

The Right Truck Tire
Due to the diverse sizes and models of trucks, along with tires to match, shopping for truck tires is not so simple as, say, candles. Prices vary, too, depending on the main use of your truck.

Here are some things to keep in mind before you go online.
Do not bother with super-low profile tires, for commercial vehicles. These tires are prone to damage from such things as driveway lips and kerbs. Buying this kind of tire will ultimately cost more in the long run.

Commercial trucks require a high-ply tire that will withstand a lot of weight. These run with high air pressure and are expensive when bought new. You can save on these by buying retreads.

With low-profile tires on a recreational truck, with little rubber on the side walls, lets you run a larger rim than normal.

For a truck that is used every day for both pleasure and work, radial tires have ply cords that are laid at right angles to the center line of the tread, making for a smooth ride. Radial tires are more forgiving on roadways that are paved or concreted. They offer excellent traction in wet conditions.

Truck tire size rating can be found on the side of your original tire. If better performance is needed, you can always upgrade, remembering – dont go over-board, always stay in the middle ground of what is suggested.

Truck tire speed rating is the speed range at which a truck tire can be used at different speed and load conditions. For example, most common designation uses “V” category for 240 km/h or 149mph speed range and “Z” speed rating for top speed. This ensures that you can safely drive the tire on the speed you choose.

Truck tire load rating index is the assigned numbers delegated to a tire that will tell you the safe load that can be used for a tire. Again use moderation when selecting this, but know first what kind of load you will be using with the tires. The higher the number the higher the load you can have (of course the more expensive it is).

If you are unfamiliar about your particular tires, go to the vehicles identification sticker (located in the vehicles door or glove box) or owners manual, for the information you need. In there you will find the speed, rim size and allowable payload intended for your truck tire and wheel.

Most online stores have the proper size index form where you can input your vehicle information. After feeding this info, the corresponding truck tire specifications will be given to you based on different types of brands.

Here are some easy tips that can be done to generate improved performance for your Subaru WRX next time it appears to be running a bit sluggish. Enjoy.

CHANGE YOUR OIL
This may seem obvious, but you would be surprised at how easy it is to forget or overlook. The owner’s manual for the Subaru WRX suggests changing the oil every 7,500 miles under normal driving conditions. Under normal driving conditions? Seriously, who really drives a Subaru WRX normally? The owner’s manual also suggests an oil change every 3,750 if you drive ir hard. Enough said. I think we all know which of these recommendations to follow.

PROPERLY GAPPED SPARK PLUGS
The proper spacing for a 2002 – 2003 Subaru WRX is 0.028″-0.031″ (0.7-0.8 mm). If you have a different year of Subaru WRX, refer to your owner’s manual for proper specs. This tip may seem a bit petty, but any extra power that can be had for free is worth the time and effort.

CLEAN YOUR AIR FILTER
The manufacturer/stock Subaru WRX air filter leaves somthing to be desired, but if you don’t have the extra cash to purchase an aftermarket air filter, please make sure your stock filter is clean. The more air that gets to the engine, the more power you have. Seems simple so far, right?

USE PREMIUM GASOLINE
With gas prices being what they are at present, I know that this is a hard-to-swallow tip at this time. Gas is not cheap, and premium gas can never be purchased at a price that makes it a deal, but you are driving a Subaru WRX, afterall. So, spring for the good stuff! Your Subaru WRX deserves nothing less than the best.

The next few tips are more involved; however, we are dealing with the Subaru WRX. Extra time and effort results in improved driving performance so it is well worth it.

TRY INSULATING YOUR FUEL LINES
Insulating the fuel lines of your Subaru WRX permits the temperature of your fuel to remain cooler which allows more fuel to enter the combustion chamber in addition to permitting more airflow through the chamber as well. Consequently, the more fuel and air that you have moving through the chamber of your Subaru WRX, the more power you will have to work with.

The simplest way to accomplish this is with air conditioning / refrigerator insulation which you can get from any hardware store.

YOUR SUBARU WRX NEEDS TO LOSE SOME WEIGHT
This is a matter of basic physics. Less weight + more power = better performance. The less weight your WRX has to lug around, the better it will perform in every category. So, take an inventory of what has accumulated in your trunk from time to time and make sure to empty it every so often!
Well that’s all I can think of for now. Stay tuned for more tips to improve your Subaru WRX.

by: Mary Ann Boulette
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright teaches “black liberation theology”. Liberation theology as it has expressed itself in the African-American community seeks to find a way to make the gospel relevant to black people who must struggle daily under the burden of white oppression. The question that confronts these black theologians is not one that is easily answered. “What if anything does the Christian gospel have to say to powerless black men”, whose existence is “threatened on a daily basis by the insidious tentacles of white power?” If the gospel has nothing to say to people as they confront the daily realities of life, it is a lifeless message.

Since this minister has been Senator Obama’s spiritual mentor for 20 years, will this hurt Senator Obama’s race for the presidency? I believe it should since it goes directly to the issue of his “judgment”. His campaign and especially the Senator knew this could become an issue and for that very reason did not have Rev. Wright at Obama’s announcement of his presidential run. Yet the Senator and his campaign were not prepared for this issue when it became a problem for the campaign. If you are running for president and you know there are two or three problems that could become negative issues for you, shouldn’t I, as a voter, expect you as a candidate to have made some preparation to counter these issues? An experienced Statesman should have been prepared for this. The Senator should have known that if the Democrats did not bring this issue up – the Republicans most certainly will. It is my opinion, that Obama can not win the presidency with this issue hanging over his !
head.

What if Senator Obama were a white man and attended a church where the Senior Minister preached against the inclusion of blacks into our society? I would be outraged and I maintain this candidate would not even be in the presidential race to begin with.

This goes to the issues which Obama is running on “judgment, experience, and association.” Senator Obama said he did not realize – after 20 years, how could he not realize his minister’s beliefs? Many will see this issue as going against his campaign of bring “blue America and red America” together. He looks to many now as if he is only another cheap politician. If he is going to be the party’s nominee, “swift boating” will destroy his campaign and the Democratic Party will lose the best opportunity to take back the White House in many years. Every super delegate needs to think about this as they are making their decision. As the popular vote stands now – Obama is the party’s nominee unless the delegates and the votes of Florida and Michigan are allowed to stand. Yes, the Democrats will lose the youth vote but the youth vote usually stays home anyway and the black vote will either stay home or go back to Senator Clinton.

Senator Clinton has a chance now to come back but needs to release her tax returns as quickly as possible as that is becoming an issue for her. And the Democrats should just pray that there is not some issue lurking there. There has been talk about how President Clinton raised the money for his library – her campaign better be ready with the answer.

Words do matter. “God damn American” – words do matter. “911 was America’s chickens coming back to roost” – words do matter. The aids virus was a United States experiment to kill off the black community – words do matter. Blacks are ruled by rich whites – words do matter. “Hillary has never been called a n____!” Words do matter. This is what happens when a campaign is built on fine speech and eloquent words.

After Obama’s speech this morning – in the end the speech was just words which I believe is all that Senator Obama is. I feel as if I still don’t know the man or perhaps this man makes me see something inside of myself that I still don’t know or understand.

My support still stands with Senator Clinton.

Are both of you crazy? If you both keep up the gender and race issues, you just might as well hold the door open for President McCain as he moves into the White House. I am so disappointed in both of you. I am one of the unheard voices that I expect both of you to be listening to. But you can’t be listening if you are so busy apologizing for your campaigns! Can’t you manage the people around you? Well, if you can’t, how can I trust either of you to manage the White House? I am having immense doubts on this point with both of you.

Maybe it is better that we only have white males to run for this high office because it has become obvious that if you are black or a woman, you can’t stop name calling!
Senator Obama – Ms Ferraro was correct – if you were a white male, you would not be running because you do not have enough experience. And don’t throw that “I had the judgment to be against the war before anyone.” If you were so against the war, why have you voted for every funding bill that the President has asked for? Why did you vote “not present” on 140 votes in the Illinois legislature? Besides being against the war before you were for the war, what exactly have you done? Show me your good judgment because after this last week, I am beginning to doubt that judgment.

Senator Clinton – I am so very disappointed in you. Send President Clinton on a vacation until the convention. He is not doing you any good in the role he has been given. And how could you throw Ms. Ferraro under the bus? Stand up to the people who are managing your campaign and stand up for yourself. Jeri Ferrero paved the way for you and other women just so that you could have the right to be running for the position that you are and you turn your back on her?

Oh, by the way, please make sure you clarify what you have done in your career because I am tired of having to go thru your career for my family and friends. If you want their vote, you tell them what you have done because I believe you have changed our country in many ways but it is not up to me to tell others – that is your job. I have enough problems just keeping my head above water economically right now.

Also, I have the solution for who should be our party nominee. It is not the popular vote or how many states you have won – it is the Electoral College votes that counts. Add the Electoral College votes for every state that each of you have won and use that number.

Most of all I can’t believe that this simple answer has to come from me – who is not getting a paycheck from either of your campaigns.
Good night and good luck!

by: Velimir Lackovic

There was an interesting news item out of Moscow in late September to which most people probably paid little heed. “Russian is one of several countries that have rushed to lay claims to the area where a U.S. Study suggests as much as 25 percent of the world’s undiscovered oil and gas could be hidden.”

Earlier the Russians sent two small submarines to plant a tiny national flag under the North Pole. In response, Canada vowed to increase its icebreaker fleet and build two new military facilities in the Artic and Denmark sent a team of scientists to seek evidence that the ridge in question was attached to its territory of Greenland.

When it comes to oil and natural gas, nations have no sense of humor, even if in the case of the United States they often display an astonishing lack of good sense. You are no doubt familiar with the long fight over permitting drilling in Alaska’s Natural Wildlife Reserve where it’s estimated there are billions of barrels of untapped oil, but you are surely going to be surprised to learn that the oil industry is excluded from exploring 85 percent of all American territorial waters.

President Bush is fond of saying that America is “addicted” to oil, but he might as well say that Americans are addicted to water or food. It’s not an addiction. It is a perfectly rational requirement of not only our own, but every other nation’s need for energy to power its industry, its homes, and its transportation needs. Before Bush, former President Jimmy Carter became convinced in the 1970s that all the proven reserves of oil would shortly be used up.

As Duncan Clark, Chairman and CEO of Global Pacific & Partners, the author of a new book, The Battle for Barrels (Profile Books, UK) points out regarding America’s continental shelf, “The undiscovered oil potential in the areas demarcated for possible offshore in the Pacific, Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico could allow the tapping of up to 85 billion barrels of oil that technically could be recoverable awaits the political passage of bills through the legislature”, i.e., Congress.

With the price of oil hitting more than $80 per barrel, one would think that Congress would be inclined to opening access to those billions of barrels, but the current Democrat-controlled Congress is more concerned about a bogus global warming than it is about insuring Americans can drive their cars and trucks, heat their homes, and process oil for the countless products it produces. And this doesn’t even include the vast reserves of natural gas that are estimated to exist.

The fact is that there are billions more barrels to be found in the world, whether it’s in the Middle East, Africa, Russia, Venezuela, and much of the yet to be geologically researched map of the world.

That bit of knowledge, however, rarely makes it into the mainstream media that can be depended upon to give lots of coverage to the “Peak Oil” crowd that has been predicting we will run out of oil any day now. A former chairman of Shell made news in late September when he warned the price of oil could hit $150 a barrel “with oil production peaking within the next 20 years.” You had to read further on in the article, published in London’s The Independent on September 16 to learn that he also said “I don’t know whether there is going to be a peak in world production….”

That’s why Clarke’s book is subtitled “Peak Oil Myths & World Oil Reserves.” The notion of Peak Oil, a point at which the world’s oil reserves begin to fall off and chaos follows. It is based on the notion that there is a finite amount of oil, no new oil will be discovered and extracted, and, well, we doomed. This is fine for pessimists, but there is a real world out there and the indications are there’s plenty of oil. The Russians obviously think there’s some under the Artic and are taking steps to lay claim to it.

“Thanks to vivid media coverage,” writes Clarke, “and prodigious output of publications, Peak Oil has begun to capture the public imagination…It has only rarely been subjected to rigorous analysis, although much evidence to contradict its thesis is found.” And just how often is the media wrong about events and trends? Every day.

I doubt that Clarke’s book will leap onto the bestseller lists. It will be read by anyone who is in the energy industry and those of us who keep an eye on energy events and trends. It is not easy reading because Clarke is an economist by trade, an advisor on corporate strategy and geopolitical issues in the oil industry, and much in demand on six continents for his expertise.

Fact by fact, Clarke’s analysis requires one to bring a great deal of concentration and effort to read his book, but it is well worth the effort because he dissects the Peak Oil myth and its advocates with surgical skill and patience.

Anyone who has followed the trajectory of the environmental movement for the last three or four decades knows that much of it is based on ludicrous claims that the Earth is doomed and mankind is to blame. Peak Oil and its “end of civilization” message got its impetus from a study by M. King Hubbert, an American geoscientist with a long career in the oil industry who, in 1956, predicted that the world would begin to run out of oil within a few decades.

Hubbert’s prediction was picked up and amplified by others to the point where there is now an Association for the Study of Peak Oil that has had to revise its estimates of when the world runs out of oil several times. The reason for the revisions is simple. New reserves of oil, new technology to revive existing fields, find new ones, and to drill in the ocean’s depths keeps pushing the date further and further off. To put it another way, Peak Oil predictions exist mostly to maintain the waning credibility of those who keep making the predictions.

Yet another way of looking at Peak Oil is that it is now sustained, not by facts, but by public relations in the form of new books, new studies, international symposia and conferences, websites devoted to the subject, and all the ways the idea is maintained despite its questionable merit.

Like environmentalism, it is less a science and more a new form of religion in which one takes its “facts” on faith. Selective computer models keep producing these “facts”, but events like the September 2006 discovery by Chevron of a huge deep water new field in the Gulf of Mexico keeps contradicting them.

“Overall,” writes Clarke, “it is clear that conventional proven oil reserves estimates considerably exceed those used by Peak Oil in Africa, Latin America, Russia, the Middle East, and elsewhere.”

Why has the price of oil hit a new high? Well, there’s a war going on in Iraq to insure Osama bin Laden who wants to take over all the nations in that region doesn’t get his wish. Add to that the ambitions of the Persian mullahs running Iran. There’s a communist dictator in Venezuela who has nationalized its oil industry. There’s Russia’s ambitions in the Artic. There are hurricanes that impact oil extraction in the Gulf of Mexico. Et cetera!

These are geopolitical forces at work that have absolutely nothing to do with how much oil exists or is yet to be found. If the world did not have to contend with these dictators and wannabes, oil would be flowing to meet all our needs for a very long time to come.

The world is not running out of oil, but neither is it running out of religious fanatics, dictators, and communist thugs who want to line their own pockets, while holding us hostage and enslaving vast portions of the world’s population.

You have almost certainly received a credit card 0 apr offer in your mailbox or email inbox. Some people apply for every 0 apr credit card that comes their way. Others opt to avoid applying for these cards altogether. What both types of people will find is that there are good offers and bad offers when it comes to 0 apr credit cards. More importantly, there are things that you can do to maximize the benefit that you get from these credit cards. The most important of these things is that you can think in the short-term about paying off any debt that you put on a 0 apr credit card.

Types of 0 APR Credit Cards
The credit card 0 apr offer might apply to a number of different types of credit cards. A common credit card that you’ll see like this is the credit card that offers zero percent interest on balance transfers. However, you might also be offered 0 apr credit cards that are for purchases. In order to make sure that you maximize your use of these cards, you need to make sure that you’re clear on what type of credit card you have. You need to be sure that you clearly understand what the zero percent applies to and what the interest rate is on the rest of the card. For example, if you have a zero percent apr on balance transfers, you need to learn what the apr is on purchases.

Thinking Short-Term
The key to making these cards work for you is to think in the short-term. In other words, before you even get a 0 apr credit card, you need to consider how you’re going to pay that card off in the immediate future. Many people make the mistake of figuring that they will deal with the debt in the future when the interest rate goes up. By then, it’s too late. You want to pay off the debt during the time that the card is in the zero percent period in order to maximize the purpose of 0 apr credit cards. To do this, you need to set forth a budget and payment plan before you even get the card.

Creating a Monthly Payment Plan
To really think in the short-term about paying off 0 apr credit cards, you need to get organized about your finances. The first thing this means is taking a look at the balance owed on the card. If you are going to do a zero apr balance transfer, include the fees associated with the transfer in the final amount owed. If you’re going to make purchases on the card during the zero percent period, guesstimate the total amount of those purchase. Next, consider the length of the 0 apr period. You’ll divide the total owed by the total number of months in this period to learn what you need to pay each month to maximize your use of the card. For example, if you owe $1000 on the card and the 0 apr lasts for 10 months, you need to pay $100 per month to have the debt paid off before the higher apr gets put into action.

A zero interest credit card is clearly an obvious opportunity to save money. Several credit card companies offer programs where you do not have to pay interest, or finance charges, on the line of credit. In nearly all of these situations, the zero interest credit cards have a limited time offer for zero percent. After that introductory period of time, the rate will likely adjust to your standard interest rate. During the time of no interest, you may be able to save a substantial amount of money by using these credit lines. How Interest Is Determined

When you use a credit card, the credit card company makes a profit by charging you interest on the purchases that you make. They assign interest rates, or the percentage that they charge you, based on your past credit history as well as other factors. The lower this rate is, the less risk you are to the company and therefore the lower the amount of money you have to pay when you use the credit card. When you apply for a zero interest credit card, you are applying for a line of credit that offers no interest. Again, this is mostly for a limited amount of time. Zero interest credit cards likely help you to save money by simply not making you pay interest. What Does Zero Mean? Whenever you consider a zero interest credit card it is essential to know what is covered under that zero interest rate. Some credit lines will apply no interest during an introductory period on purchases only. Other lines of credit will apply this no cost to you to just balance transfers. Still others will allow both purchases and balance transfers to qualify. Read through the offer for the zero interest credit cards to get the best choice for your situation. Using Them To Get The Best How can you save money when taking advantage of zero interest credit card offers? One way is to consider the current interest rates that you are being charged. If it is higher and you are able to get zero interest on balance transfers, then you can pay off your old lines of credit using your zero interest credit cards and not have to pay interest on your old debt. This can save you quite a bit of money and is something the lender will more than likely offer to you at the beginning of the introductory period. When using this offer, find out if there are any fees for balance transfers and pay off the transferred debt before the introductory period is over.

Zero interest credit card offers are readily available to those that have average or better credit. You can obtain them through many credit card companies. Qualifications will need to be met. Be sure you know the length of the introductory period when the zero interest credit cards are actually at 0 APR as most credit cards will change after three months to 12 months. Then, use these cards to help you to save substantially.

It’s a little bit exciting to get credit card cash back money. After all, you already made those credit card purchases and forgot about them so it’s not like you’re really expecting to get anything else. The cash back credit card offers you a little bit of a reward in addition to your purchase so that you can have some spending money in your pocket. But what do you want to spend that money on? Different people find that different purchases can make their cash back credit cards really benefit them.

Pay Your Credit Card Bill
Some people find that the best use of their credit card cash back money is to pay off their credit card bill with it. Many cash back credit cards make this easy by offering that as an option in your rewards package. In other words, when you sign into your online account to see what your dollar amount cash back is, you’ll also see an option to “use this amount to pay your bill”. This allows you to save the money that you would’ve normally spent on your monthly credit card bill and to use it for something else down the line.

Get Rewards Other than Cash Back
Many cash back credit cards offer a certain percentage of your purchase amount back to you in cash but will give you more than that amount if you choose another reward. For example, you might get 3% cash back on purchases. Let’s say that you’ve earned enough off of that to get $100 cash back. Your credit card company might offer you the option of choosing a $150 gift card instead of the $100 cash. This lets you actually get more from your cash back credit card companies than you would have thought to begin with. However, it’s only good for people who are really interested in the items or gift cards that are available through the rewards program.

Gifts for Others
Perhaps you’ll find that there are gifts in these rewards programs that are better for someone else than they are for you. When it comes time to buy gifts in bulk, such as during the holidays, you can cash in your cash back credit cards points to get a bunch of gifts for other people. Since that money was just sitting on your cash back credit card, it almost feels like you didn’t have to spend anything to get nice gifts for the people that you care about.

Something Nice for Yourself
There are some people who find that the best thing that they can do with their credit card cash back money is to use it for giving themselves a gift. After all, your credit card purchases usually don’t go to things that spoil you. They go towards buying groceries and paying bills and taking care of daily expenses. When you make a commitment to spending your cash back money on a treat for yourself, you really reap the emotional benefits that can come along with having a cash back credit card.

Savings Accounts
Other people find that what they want most from their cash back credit cards is a little financial security. They take the money that they get in cash back and they use it to start a savings account. Every time they get more cash back, they add to that account. They’re not spending anything but they’re allowing their money to work for them
